At a programme organised by the UML Town Committee, Biratnagar, here on Tuesday, Chairman Oli stressed the need of making the peace, democracy and national unity stronger.Expressing the belief that the preliminary draft of the new constitution would be approved from the Constituent Assembly (CA) today, he said lawmakers would reach to districts along with the draft to collect suggestions of the people in this regard from third week of July.
Chair Oli said, "Perhaps, the new constitution will be promulgated with the start of August at any cost even if attempts were made to obstruct the promulgation of the new constitution and a national unity government will be formed after that."
He clarified that construction works would be expedited to uplift the country from natural disaster.
Chairman Oli expressed the view that all political parties should be committed to make an arrangement of safe settlements to quake survivors and commercialization of tourism, industry and agro sectors for the development of the country.
Stating that there should be mutual harmony in the country, he said, "There has been false publicity in the name of Madhesis, there by spreading ethnic and regional conflict. But it cannot be successful."
