None can seize people's voting rights: Singh

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary, Prakash Man Singh, said none could seize people´s right to vote. He expressed his belief that maximum number of voters would reach the polling stations on November 19.



Garlanding the statute of Ganesh Man Singh, commander of the People´s Movement-2046 at Shobhabhagawati on his birth anniversary in the capital on Sunday morning, Singh said the election wave across the country was in favour of the NC.[break]



"Government has warned of stringent action against those boycotting and obstructing election programs, and we´re also committed to creating safe and peaceful atmosphere for the voters to exercise their rights," he said, stressing that the voting is the sovereign rights of the people.



On different note, the General Secretary who is the son the commander of the People´s Movement Ganesh Man, said that the late Ganesh Man Singh was such leader who never craved for power but believed in ideology and committed to democracy.



On the occasion, NC central member Navindra Raj Joshi offered flowers on the statue of Ganesh Man Singh.



The late leader Ganesh Man born on Kartik 24, 1972BS had passed away on Asoj 2, 2054BS.
