KATHMANDU, April 30: Resham Chaudhary, the patron of the Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP), has been arrested. He was detained on Wednesday from the premises of Nepal Academy.
The arrest took place at a time when preparations were underway for the announcement of a merger between NUP and the Janamat Party led by CK Raut. Police took Chaudhary in control from the event venue at Nepal Academy.
