TAPLEJUNG, July 9: One person died and another was injured after being struck by lightning in Sidingba Rural Municipality of Taplejung district.

Raj Kumar Limbu of Sidingba-3 succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the Sabla Khu Health Post. According to family sources, he was struck by lightning on Tuesday evening while sitting at home and was immediately rushed to the local health post for treatment.
Similarly, 17-year-old Mission Limbu of Limbudin, Sidingba-5, was also injured in the lightning strike. He is currently receiving treatment at the same health post, according to District Police Office spokesperson Bibek Basnet.
