KANCHANPUR, Nov 20: One person died in a road accident this morning in Bhasi, Kanchanpur, along the East-West Mahendra Highway.
According to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, scooter rider Tara Singh Karki of Bhimdatta Municipality-9 died when his scooter (Su Pa Pra 020041 Pa 2700) and a motorcycle (Ma 2 Pa 7456) collided with each other in Bhasi.

The police said that the scooter rider was seriously injured and died during treatment at the Mahakali Regional Hospital.
After the accident, the motorcyclist, Sher Singh Sarki of Bedkot Municipality-10, who was absconding, has been detained by the police. The dead body has been sent for a post-mortem. Police said that an investigation into the incident is underway.
