The 29-year-old from New Delhi, who turned professional in 2006, won his fourth professional title with victory at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority Open 2013.[break]
Chiragh topped the Rolex Rankings 2011 after winning the BILT Open and securing top-10 finishes in nine other PGTI events. He finished joint runner-up at the PGTI Players Championship organized by Chandigarh Golf Club and runner-up at the PGTI Players Championship organized by Willingdon Sports Club.
Chiragh secured a runner-up finish at the Indian Open 2011 and was placed 21st on the Asian Tour Order of Merit to secure a full card on the Asian Tour in the 2012 season for the first time.
He won the PGTI Players Championship organized by Golden Greens Golf & Country Club and the LG Masters of PGTI during the 2010 PGTI season. He also had six other top-10 finishes on the PGTI and therefore ended up sixth on the Rolex Rankings 2010.
Chiragh finished joint third at the PGTI Tour Championship in 2009. He was part of the Indian team that won the silver medal in the team event at the 2006 Doha Asian Games.
He also won the amateur title at the Indian Open 2006. As an amateur, Chiragh won the 45th Pakistan Amateur Open Golf Championship, Lahore (2005), the Royal Challenge RCGC CUP (2004), the Singapore Amateur Open (2006) and the Southern India Amateur Championship (2006). Similarly, he finished runner-up at the Malaysian Amateur Open (2006) and was a member of the Indian team that won the International Team Championship in Lahore in 2005.
SNPL Masters, a joint sanctioned event between PGTI and the Nepal Professional Golfers Association, is all set to feature star golfers of PGTI and Asian Tour when it tees off on May 7.
The Surya Nepal Masters 2013 will start with a Pro-Am event on May 7 while the main tournament will tee off on May 8.
