KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has wished happiness, peace, good health, and longevity to all Christians on the occasion of Christmas, which is celebrated today with various programs on the birthday of Jesus Christ.
Stating that our festivals and culture have been important for building national unity, mutual harmony, and national fundamental culture through good wishes, PM Deuba wished that Christmas would inspire all Nepalis to maintain the spirit of mutual trust and brotherhood. Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious, and multi-cultural country and the cultural and religious diversity has been an important asset not only for Nepal but also for the world community.

Although efforts to control and manage Covid-19 appear to be effective, Prime Minister Deuba has urged everyone to observe the festival safely, following the health standards, as the World Health Organization (WHO) and experts are expressing concern over its new form of omicron variant.
