KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Information and Communications, Sherdhan Rai, has said the imminent visit of the Prime Minister to India would be significant. So, it was unnecessary to doubt on it, he added.

At a program organized by the Parbat-Kathmandu Liaison Forum in the capital city on Saturday, Minister Rai said there would not be any agreement during his visit that jeopardizes national interest and bilateral relations.

"Not any of the government's promises is baloney, as government is committed to fulfilling all promises made to people," he stressed.

According to him, the government was gradually toward the path of success, which is significant for the country.

The priority of the government is now economic development, so agreement on it could be made with the neighbor.

Moreover, the Minister said the government would not be weak disregarding the efforts made to enfeeble it.

As the constitution is a dynamic and progressive document, it can be made complete with amendments, he added. RSS
