Police living in bunker for last 10 yrs

KANCHANPUR, Sept. 12: Police personnel in Jogbudha of Dadeldhura district have been living inside bunker for the past ten years after then CPN (Maoist) destroyed Area Police Office building roofed with straw during the insurgency.



The Unified Security Force deployed in the police office had built bunkers around the area after the arson in the police office.[break]



Outgoing Spokesperson and Police Inspector at Mahakali Zonal Police Office Karna Bahadur Bom said the police personnel were bound to live inside bunker for want of building.



As a result, it is difficult to run daily activities. There are some 88 units of police in the Mahakali zone with around 2,000 quotas of police.



However, Mahakali Zonal Police Office claimed that process to construct the building of police office was initiated.
