Ratna Park's earning on New Year's Day breaks record

KATHMANDU, April 14: The famed Ratna Park located in the heart of the capital city has made the highest trade per day in its history.

The Park earned Rs 103,000 on the Nepali New Year's Day which fell on Wednesday. Ratna Park and Rani Pokhari Unit Chief, Hari Sharan KC, said a total of 3,602 commoners and 90 students visited the park on the day.Influx of such huge number of visitors inside the park has been attributed to a new facelift and management the park received and the cost-free internet service.

The free internet facility was set up at the park on March 18. "In the earlier days average earning of the park used to hover around Rs 25,000 per day," KC said. The entrance fee to the park is fixed at Rs 25 per public and Rs 15 for students. RSS
