KATHMANDU, July 30: CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal on Saturday said that his party would take action against Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal if he inducts new Maoist ministers against the party´s official decision.

Speaking at an interaction organized by Reporters´ Club, Nepal in the capital, Rawal, who is also a central committee member of the UML, said the prime minister should step down to pave the way for formation of a national consensus government instead of inducting new Maoist ministers.[break]

He said the Maoists can lead the new government only after making tangible progress in the peace process and constitution drafting.

“The Maoists would not be allowed to lead the government unless they make concrete progress in the peace process,” he said.

He said implementation of the five-point deal is more important than cabinet reshuffle.
