DHADING, Feb 14: A person has died when an Indian truck hit a scooter nearby Charaudi bridge at Benighat Rorang rural municipality-5 in the district on Friday morning.
According to the police, the truck (BR 06 GD 8671) ran over the scooter (Province 3-02-014 Pa 3989).

The deceased has been identified as scooter rider Prakash Basnet, 22, of Mukti municipality-1, Solukhumbu while pillion rider Sanis Thapa of Kavre sustained injuries. Thapa was rushed to TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.
The absconding truck driver has been held by Gajuri Police following the incident.
