Shreekamana wins boys´ title

KATHMANDU, June 2: Shreekamana won the title in the boys´ section of First Laligurans Inter-school Volleyball Tournament on Sunday. Shreekamana defeated Deepjyoti 25-18, 25-15, 25-18 in the final played at the court of host Laligurans National Academy in Manamaiju. Samakhushi English Boarding School edged past Paradigm 21-25, 25-14, 25-23, 25-6 to finish the tournament in third position. Bikash Chhantyal of Shreekamana was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament in the boys´ section. Analjyoti had won the girls´ title on Saturday.



IME felicitates Pandit

KATHMANDU, June 2: International Money Express (IME) and Global IME Bank felicitated ultra-runner and climber Sanjay Pandit on Sunday. Pandit had successfully scaled Mount Everest on May 19. Executive Chairman of IME and Chairman of Global IME Bank Chandra Prasad Dhakal felicitated Pandit with tokens of appreciation amidst a special function held at IME Complex, Panipokhari. Pandit thanked IME and Global IME Bank for financially and morally supporting him in the expedition. IME and Global IME Bank had provided a financial assistance of Rs 100,000 to Pandit in April.
