Six-year-old Rekha and two-year-old Mohan, children of Durga KC in Maliwang of Darma rural municipality-6 died on Saturday while crossing the river. They were returning home along with their mother from their maternal home when the incident took place, according to District Police Office, Salyan.
The bodies of the two children were found in a joint search carried out by police and the locals, DSP at the Office Birendra Bahadur Shahi said. The mother, Poornima KC, who was also swept away by the river, managed to survive. She is undergoing treatment at the local medical center. The father of the kids is presently in Malaysia in course of foreign employment. RSS
