KAPILVASTU, Jan 16: Two people died and one person was seriously injured when two motorcycles collided at Deuwapar in Banganga Municipality-11 of Kapilvastu district along the Taulihawa-Jitpur road.
On Wednesday evening at around 5:30 pm, two motorcycles with Nepali and Indian number plates collided with each other.

The deceased have been identified as the rider of the Indian motorcycle (UP 55 A H 7090) Neha Man Ali, 35, a resident of Shuddhodan Rural Municipality-3, Kapilvastu, and the rider of the Nepali motorcycle (LU 10 Pa 4496), Roman Tharu, 27, a resident of Sainamaina-4, Kapilvastu.
The spokesperson for the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohan Mani Adhikari said that both of them died at Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal during treatment.
Additionally, Ajay Tharu, 26, was injured in the accident and is receiving treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital. Police said that further investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
