The materials meant for holding the party´s mass meeting at Bhagawati were vandalized by an unidentified group while they were being taken to the meeting spot with the help of porters.
CPN-UML district secretary Balkrishna Subedi accused the poll opposing CPN-Maoist district leader Lalu Kisan of having involvement in the vandalism.
However, the CPN-Maoist cadres have rejected the accusation and said the local party cadres might have hands in the vandalism as per the party policy of boycotting the election.
Two mikes and other materials have been damaged in the incident. A police squad has already moved to the site to investigate the case, Chief District Officer Chandra Dev Karki said. Despite the vandalism of election materials, the UML (Myagdi) organised a mass meeting here
