Unidentified persons vandalize Mugu health post

MUGU, April 12: A group of unidentified persons torched a health post in a remote settlement of Mugu district last night.

They broke into the Dhainkot Health Post and made away with medicines and medical equipments, the In-Charge of the Health Post Santosh Kumar Malla told the National News Agency (RSS) on telephone. The Health Post is located three days' walk from district headquarters, Gamgadi.'Since the Health Post was vandalized at night without our knowledge, we could not track down the culprits," shared In-Charge Malla.

Among the looted articles are essential medicines, device used to measure blood pressure and anti-malnutrition edible powder known as Micro Nutrient Powders, among others, according to Malla.

However, details of the incident are awaited as the nearest police station to the Health Post is six hours of walk, shared Som Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Mugu. RSS
