Vikings to end after its sixth season

Popular running History’s series ‘Vikings’ is set to end after its sixth season. According to Deadline, Vikings creator Michael Hirst and studio MGM Television, are looking to extend the Vikings franchise with a new series.

Popular running History’s series ‘Vikings’ is set to end after its sixth season. According to Deadline, Vikings creator Michael Hirst and studio MGM Television, are looking to extend the Vikings franchise with a new series.



The sixth season will be of 20 episodes. The first half of the sixth season will be in 2019 and the second half will likely to end in 2020.

Michael Hirst, who is a mastermind behind this show, directed all episodes of the show. Vikings began their show to tell the adventure of Ragnar Lothbrok, a legendary Viking ruler from an ordinary farmer to a Norse Viking hero. Though Ragnar’s journey came to an end in season 4, the show was extended to the stories of Ragnar’s sons, King Harald, Floki’s settlement and also some parts from the kingdom of Wessex.
