The event titled “An Evening with Natalia Calderón” was a non-profit fundraiser for the underprivileged children in need of eye treatment organized by JJ Sultans Studio.[break]
Calderón had previously mentioned that she wanted to help elevate the condition of children in need of cataract surgery and other eye treatments after her visit to Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.
Guest of Honor, Honorary Consul of Spain Mrs Sangita Shrestha admired the initiative of both the organizers and the singer. The group performed originals like Flor Azul and Al sur; and Rs 80,000 was collected by the end of the event.
Special donors included Chabindra Shrestha, Nabin Thapa, Mahesh Shrestha, Kishore Pradhan and Tamarind Restro & Bar.
Director of JJ Sultans Studio Prasang Shrestha and Natalia Calderon handed over the cheque of the fund to Dr Suman Thapa, Head of the Glaucoma Unit at Tilganga who is a music enthusiast himself.
