KATHMANDU, March 2: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed banks and financial institutions to provide banking services on public holidays.
Issuing a directive, the central bank has urged banks and financial institutions to make arrangements to keep their offices open on the Holi festival and the day of the election of members of the House of Representatives, i.e. Thursday, March 5, as well.
Excessive holidays trouble service seekers
NRB has directed commercial banks designated to conduct government transactions to make arrangements for payment and revenue deposits.
Banks and financial institutions that have been operating bank accounts for election campaigning have been asked to make arrangements to provide banking services, including depositing and paying cash, checks or other forms of exchange for political parties and candidates.
