KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Pashchimanchal Development Bank (PDB) has earned Rs 56.1 million in profit during the first nine months of the current fiscal year. A report presented at the 10th general meeting of the bank states that the bank mobilized Rs 2.69 billion as deposits and disbursed Rs 2.37 billion in loans during the period. The meeting concluded in Butwal on Saturday also elected Kamal Nath Gyawali and Uttam Aryal as board members from the shareholders. It also endorsed the annual report presented by the bank"s chairman Santosh Lal Shrestha. The Butwal-based bank has been providing banking service through 13 branch offices across the country.
´Liril Fresh Face´ campaign begins
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Liril Soap -- a product of Unilever Nepal -- has launched a campaign named "Liril Fresh Face". According to a press statement issued on Monday, the campaign has been launched with an objective to find the face that can represent the brand. Under the campaign, Liril has invited Nepali women for participation by sending their names, contact numbers and refreshing photos through email or by posting on Liril"s Facebook page. ´The winner will become "Liril Fresh Face" and get a chance to represent the brand in television commercials and newspaper advertisements,´ the company said in the statement. Besides, two lucky winners will get a free trip to Thailand.
