Chaudhary was attacked with a khukuri by a group of three persons while he was heading to home from office at 7 pm Sunday evening.[break]
“The three persons suddenly held me and attacked with the khukuri saying that you are the one who writes our news,” Chaudhari told reporters at the emergency ward of Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital.
According to Chaudhary’s colleague Santosh Regmi, his mobile phone set, wallet and bag were looted.
SP Mahesh Bikram Shah of the District Police Office, Banke, said police are trying to nab the people involved in the incident.
