NSC employee withdraw protest

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The agitating employees of the National Sports Council (NSC) have withdrawn their protest program on Monday after the two sides--NSC and employees--formed a nine-member committee to study the demands of the employees.



National Sports Council Employee Association (NSCEA) had put forth 27 points demand citing that they had not got their salary since last three months.[break]



Following formation of the committee, the protest had been called off for time being.



NSC treasurer Min Krishna Maharjan is the coordinator of the study committee while NSC members Samim Miya Ansari and Lal Kumar Lama are members.



Other members of the committee include NSC Sports Development Department Chief Kamal Khanal, NSC Administration Chief Dam Bahadur Basnet, Training Department Chief Narayan Yadav, NSCEA President Narayandev Rana, Vice-president Ranjan Thapa and Genaral-secretary Phadindra Poudel.



The committee has been asked to submit the report within a week which would then be implemented by the NSC board meeting within next seven days.



NSC Member-secretary Hari Babu Chaudhary and NSCEA President Rana signed the understanding on behalf of their respective institutions.
