Sujata Koirala to vie for NC Presidential post

CHITWAN, Aug. 18: Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala has stated that she was going to vie for the NC President post in the party's upcoming General Convention.

Speaking at a programme organized by Nepal Press Union, Chitwan Chapter here at Bharatpur Tuesday, leader Koirala also urged to increase the number of party officer-bearers.


Leader Koirala, also former Foreign Minister, argued that the government should declare the existing five development regions as the federal provinces to give outlet to the disputes abounding the federalism issue. "With this, Madesh, Mountain and Tarai become untied," she added.

Leader Koirala batted for religious freedom in the new constitution that would embrace all ethnicity in the country. RSS
