ILAM, Oct 27: Chairman of CPN-UML Jhala Nath Khanal on Sunday claimed that his party will secure majority seats in the upcoming elections to the constituent Assembly (CA).
Speaking to the reporters here in Fikkal of the district, Khanal claimed that his party is running in front some 150 constituencies out of 240.[break]
“Voters are attracted towards UML across the country hoping that UML-led government only could draft new constitution”, Khanal claimed.
Khanal informed that his party-led government would prioritize the promulgation of pro-people constitution, consolidation of the democracy, state transformation and development.
“The strength of UCPN (Maoist) has been weakened compare to last election. Similarly, Nepali Congress is also losing the ground due to its status quoist nature,” Khanal remarked. He further added that his party candidates are winning the elections in most of the constituencies.
Khanal, who currently conducting door-to door campaigns in his constituency of Ilam, has completed the election campaigns in 7 VDCs out of 15 so far.
