KATHMANDU, June 16, 2026: LG Electronics Singapore, in partnership with CG Electronics, has launched its new “Essential Series” of home appliances in Nepal, aiming to offer durable, energy-efficient, and affordable solutions tailored to local household needs, according to a press release.
The launch event was held at Vivanta Kathmandu as part of LG’s ongoing campaign, “Harek Ghar Ko Khushi, Ghar-Gharma LG,” which seeks to make modern home technology more accessible to Nepali families, the press release said.
The Essential Series includes refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners designed specifically based on Nepali consumer insights.
The double-door refrigerators feature frost-free technology, smart inverter compressor systems, and smart mode functionality, along with larger vegetable storage capacity and energy-efficient operation backed by a 10-year compressor warranty.

The fully automatic top-load washing machines come equipped with a ProShield Motor with a 10-year warranty, intelligent auto-restart, low-pressure fill technology, and a waterproof control panel designed to withstand dust, humidity, and Nepal’s diverse water conditions.
The room air conditioners offer efficient cooling and heating performance while reducing electricity consumption, using environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant and low-noise inverter technology.
Speaking at the event, Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director of Chaudhary Group, said the new product line reflects LG’s continued commitment to Nepali consumers by combining premium design with practical functionality.
Similarly, Changho Han, Home Appliance Solution Product Director of LG Electronics Singapore, said the series has been developed using insights from thousands of households to meet real-life needs and improve everyday convenience.
The company said the Essential Series is designed to address challenges specific to Nepali households, including low water pressure, dust, humidity, and seasonal climate changes.
The products will be rolled out nationwide from June 2026, with prices starting at around Rs 49,690, according to the press release. They will be available through authorized LG brand shops, retail outlets, and e-commerce platforms across Nepal.
