KATHMANDU, June 8: Five newly appointed ministers in Lumbini Province took the oath of office and secrecy on Monday following a reshuffle in the provincial cabinet.

The cabinet reshuffle was carried out on the recommendation of Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya under Article 168(9) of the Constitution of Nepal. In the restructured cabinet, four ministers are from the CPN-UML and one from the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), bringing five new members into the provincial government.
The newly appointed ministers are Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary, Dilli Raj Bhusal, Ramji Prasad Ghimire, Ratna Bahadur Khatri, and Bhandari Lal Ahir.
Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary has been assigned the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives; Dilli Raj Bhusal the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Ramji Prasad Ghimire the Ministry of Health; Ratna Bahadur Khatri the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development; and Bhandari Lal Ahir the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.
Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya, former Chief Minister Jokh Bahadur Mahara, Speaker Tularam Gharti Magar, and Deputy Speaker Menuka Khand KC were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
