Rumors of 7-point proposal misleading: Koirala

KATHMANDU, June 10: Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has said reports claiming that the party establishment faction sent a seven-point proposal for consensus are false.



Through his secretariat, Koirala clarified that the rumors circulating in public are not true. According to the secretariat, neither Koirala nor his office has received any information regarding such a proposal from any source so far.

In a statement, the secretariat described the reports as fabricated, baseless, and misleading, and urged everyone not to be misled by them.


The secretariat also stated that after the Nepali Congress formed a new working committee through its special general convention, Pradip Paudel met Koirala at his secretariat in Bishalnagar on April 5, 2026, while Gagan Thapa met him there on May 5, 2026. Since then, there has been no communication or contact with anyone regarding the matter, the secretariat said.
