KATHMANDU, December 30: All Nepal National Independent Students Union--Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), a student wing affiliated with the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), has set an age limit for leadership selection.
Chief Election Officer Mukti Narayan Pradhan confirmed that 900 votes favored imposing the age limit, while 879 votes supported leaving it open. Based on the final voting results, the leadership age limit for ANNISU-R will be set at 32 years.

ANNISU-R had previously seen differing opinions on whether to implement an age limit. Pradhan also announced that the election for leadership positions among those under 32 will take place on January 25.
