KATHMANDU, Oct 5: A national convention of the Federation of Community Forest Users Nepal (FECOFUN), the umbrella organization of community forest users' groups, on Wednesday unanimously elected Bharati Pathak as its head.
FECOFUN's former general secretary Pathak was elected the head of the organization after a majority of the members stood in her favor. Bharati is the second woman to lead the organization as its head after Apsara Chapagain.

Likewise, Bhim Prakash Khadka was chosen as vice-president of the organization whereas Brikha Bahadur Shahi as its general secretary, Thakur Bhandari as secretary and Parbata Gautam as the treasurer.
Eight hundred representatives from various community forest users' groups had assembled in Kathmandu this week to elect their leadership and chart out the future course.
