RAUTAHAT, Feb 23: The curfew imposed in the district headquarters of Gaur since Friday afternoon has been lifted.
The District Security Committee revised the curfew schedule and fully withdrew it from 6 am on Monday.
Curfew lifted in Mahendranagar
Although the curfew has been lifted, Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal urged the public not to organize any gatherings, rallies, or demonstrations that could disturb religious, ethnic, or social harmony. He said further decisions would be taken after assessing the situation after 10 am.
Meanwhile, a goodwill rally is being planned to help end the four-day-long dispute between the two communities. The rally is expected to be held at Sabgadha in Gaur Municipality at 7:30 am, led by civil society members along with leaders from both communities to promote peace and unity.
