OKHALDHUNGA, Jan 27: Hardly a month has passed since the murder of an elderly couple at Bhadaure of Chisankhugadhi-6 in the district, another elderly couple were killed in the same locality last night.
Chandra Bikram Rai, 81, and his spouse Chandra Maya Rai, 80, were found murdered at Bohore village of the same ward.
The locals have guessed that the Rai couple running the shop might have been killed after looting.

The Okhaldhunga District Police Office informed that the husband's body was found inside a quilt in the bedroom of the second floor while the wife's body was also in the same floor wrapped in a quilt.
The nearest Police Post located at Nisakhe shared that it received information on the murder of the elderly couple at 7:40am. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Madan KC, said police persons were mobilized to secure the murder site immediately after receiving the information on homicide.
"The incident site is now secured. Additional police persons were mobilized for investigation," he added.
On December 30, a Magar couple from Gaurigaon village of Bhadaure was killed after looting, while on October 12, a single woman was killed at Charkhu, Siddhicharan municipality-4 in the district.
In connection with both of the previous incidents, police arrested four youths, Sangam Rai, Binod Rai, Prakash Bhujel and Ashok Bhujel. They are being investigated.
A series of senior citizen killings has panicked people in the neighbourhood. The locals have demanded the local authority and security agencies to immediately nab those involved in the crime and action forwarded accordingly.
