KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Former Home Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ramesh Lekhak is set to record his statement on Monday before the commission formed to investigate the human and property losses during the Gen Z movement.
The commission, led by former Special Court chair Gauri Bahadur Karki, had asked Lekhak to appear on December 28 to question him about the incidents of September 8 and 9. He is appearing today to give his statement. The commission had sent him an official letter requesting his presence, and upon receiving it, Lekhak informed the commission that he would comply.

According to his secretariat, Lekhak will reach the commission at 11 am today to record his statement. He is also scheduled to hold a press conference at 4 pm today at the NC parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar.
Earlier, Lekhak had said, “The commission formed to investigate the incidents of September 8 and 9 has called me to gather information about the events. I have decided to appear before the commission. They had called me for Friday, but I decided to go on Monday.”
