KATHMANDU, May 14: The House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to convene at 11:00 AM today amid continued uncertainty over whether Prime Minister Balendra Shah will appear in Parliament to respond to lawmakers’ questions on the government’s annual policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.
According to the agenda published by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, today’s meeting will continue deliberations on the government’s policies and programmes, with the prime minister scheduled to answer concerns raised during the discussions.

However, a source at the Office of the Prime Minister said it has not yet been confirmed whether the prime minister will attend the House meeting.
The uncertainty comes a day after Wednesday’s HoR meeting was adjourned without entering regular business after opposition parties obstructed the session, demanding the Prime Minister’s presence in Parliament.
The government’s annual policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year are also expected to be tabled for endorsement during today’s meeting. President Ramchandra Paudel had presented the document at a joint sitting of the Federal Parliament on Monday.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly (NA) is also scheduled to meet at 11:15 AM today. The upper house will continue deliberations on the government’s annual policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.
