According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rain and snowfall are likely in a few places of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. While some hilly areas may remain partly cloudy, most other regions are expected to have mainly clear skies.
The department said the continued cloudiness is due to the influence of the western wind and a low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea.
This afternoon, skies will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Madhes and other provinces, and mostly clear elsewhere.
Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and mainly clear in other areas. Light rain and snowfall are possible at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of these provinces, the department added.
