Lumbini Province presents annual policy and programme prioritising agriculture, tourism and jobs

BHAIRAHAWA, May 25: The Lumbini Province government has presented its annual policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 (2026/27), prioritising agriculture, tourism, infrastructure development and employment promotion.



Province Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar presented the policy and programme at a provincial assembly meeting on Monday.

He was welcomed in the provincial assembly by Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya, Speaker Tularam Gharti Magar, ministers, and assembly members.


The policy document focuses on increasing agricultural productivity, promoting the tourism sector, expanding road and infrastructure projects, improving the quality of education and healthcare services, and strengthening governance for more effective service delivery.


It also gives priority to linking youth with employment opportunities and entrepreneurship programmes.
