Man held with stolen cash amounting to Rs 6.51 million

DANG, Dec 30: Police have arrested a man from Goloura, Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-6, Dang, along with Rs 65.17 million cash he allegedly stole from a house in Kathmandu.



A team from the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, has arrested 24-year-old Durga Bahadur KC in this connection. Chief of the Area Police Office, Tulsipur Hom Bahadur Parajuli, said that the amount of money, the source of which could not be verified, was recovered during a search at KC's house.

KC had returned home from Kathmandu on Monday night. According to Spokesperson of the Dang District Police Office, DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah, the amount was recovered during a search of his house based on CCTV footage.


After the police received CCTV footage showing a theft taking place at the house of the operator of Dish Home Fibernet in Bishalnagar, Kathmandu, police located KC's house and kept surveillance overnight.


Police have arrested KC on Monday with that amount. The police stated that further investigation is ongoing regarding the arrested KC.
