MWCSW stresses implementation of national policy against trafficking

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Shraddha Shrestha has stressed the effective implementation of the National Policy Against Human Trafficking.



Addressing a discussion programme on the National Policy Against Human Trafficking organised at the ministry today, she said everyone in society should work together to combat human trafficking.


Minister Shrestha underscored the need for effective implementation of the policy now that it has been introduced.

She also shared that rescuing victims of human trafficking remains challenging due to resource constraints and procedural complexities.


Ministry Secretary Radhika Aryal said the policy clearly outlines various provisions and there should be no hindrance to its implementation in accordance with the relevant acts and legislation.


She directed the concerned bodies to carry out their work in an effective and result-oriented manner.
