'Party unification bid not finalized'

KATHMANDU, Oct 25: At a time when some news media reported that the CPN (Maoist Centre) and the CPN (Unified Socialist) finalized the party unification process, the Maoist Centre has made it clear that it is yet to be finalized. 



However, the Maoist Centre confirmed that thorough discussions were held with various political parties on the unification bid.

The secretariat of party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' stated in a press release that the party had not concluded the unification process with any political party despite rounds of consultations with many. There is no truth in the news and information about the unification making rounds on social media and some online news portals, the secretariat added.


The CPN Maoist is, however, determined to forward unity for protecting the achievements of various movements and struggles.
