Though this government has several expectations from different sides, the government was moving ahead for good governance and elections as per the aspiration of the Gen-Z movement, PM Karki added.

Similarly, PM Karki held a meeting with the CPN (UML) leaders at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar today.

During the meeting, the UML leaders shared their views on a writ petition lodged by the party at the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the uncertain poll environment.

UML general secretary Shankar Pokhrel, deputy general secretary Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and other leaders also called for a trustworthy environment for free and fair elections.

UML leader Mahesh Bartaula said that the PM was reminded of different incidents taking place in the country that have not created confidence for polls.

On the occasion, PM Karki urged the UML leaders not to harbour doubts on the credibility of polls, adding that the main spirit of the Gen-Z protest was taking a fresh people's mandate, thereby it was all's responsibility to focus on polls, the PM's Secretariat stated.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel was also present at the meeting.
