KATHMANDU, March 9: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is maintaining a strong lead in the ongoing vote counting under the proportional representation (PR) system for the House of Representatives election, according to the latest results released by election authorities.
A total of 7,962,560 votes have been counted nationwide so far. The RSP is leading with 3,842,264 votes.

The Nepali Congress is in second position with 1,298,508 votes, while the CPN-UML is in third position with 1,097,732 votes.
Other parties have also secured portions of the PR vote share. The Nepali Communist Party has received 567,330 votes, followed by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 268,270 votes. The Shram Sanskriti Party has secured 268,012 votes.
The Janata Samajbadi Party has secured 117,197 votes. Vote counting is still underway.
