KATHMANDU, Oct 25: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Sobita Gautam has said that the brutal murder of 13-year-old Anshu Gautam in Letang Municipality-2, Morang, has left the entire nation shocked and outraged.
Anshu, a resident of School Chowk in Letang Municipality-2, had gone missing since the evening of October 7. Her decapitated body was found 18 days later in the Belbari–Chisang Community Forest on the Letang–Belbari border. Citing police reports, Gautam said the incident indicates a grave human crime.

Calling it not just a family tragedy but a serious question about public safety, Gautam said, “Anyone involved in such a crime should be brought under the legal net without any leniency.”
She strongly condemned the incident and demanded the harshest and exemplary punishment for the perpetrator.
“The need of the hour is to immediately and thoroughly investigate the case and bring the culprit to justice,” Gautam wrote on social media, adding, “I expect the Home Ministry to take this case on a fast track, arrest the offender, and ensure legal action.”
