KATHMANDU, April 2: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to nominate its Deputy Chairperson DP Aryal for the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The decision was made during the party’s parliamentary caucus meeting held today, where RSP Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane proposed Aryal as the party’s candidate for the Speaker position. The proposal was unanimously approved by the caucus.

With RSP holding a near two-thirds majority in the House, Aryal is expected to secure the Speaker post.
The election for the Speaker is scheduled for April 5.
