KATHMANDU, April 5: In the House of Representatives meeting, Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal has been proposed for the position of Speaker. The proposal was submitted by Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
Lamichhane expressed gratitude to all parties for supporting Aryal’s unanimous election as Speaker. Dr Swarnim Wagle endorsed the proposal.

Since Aryal was the sole candidate, he has already been elected unopposed. Today’s meeting will formally announce his election as Speaker.
