Stranded passengers in Pokhara escorted to their destinations in 25 tourist buses

At least 25 tourist buses were arranged to escort the stranded passengers to their destinations from 10 am on Sunday, following the public transport strike enforced by the Central Struggle Committee to Save Public Transport in Gandaki Province from May 30.

KATHMANDU, June 6: At least 25 tourist buses were arranged to escort the stranded passengers to their destinations from 10 am on Sunday, following the public transport strike enforced by the Central Struggle Committee to Save Public Transport in Gandaki Province from May 30.



According to the Armed Police Force (APF) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Assistant Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, a joint team of APF Nepal No 24 Kalika Battalion Kaski and Nepal Police will escort the buses from Pokhara to Kotre, the border point of the district. From there, APF Nepal No 23 Manakamana Battalion Tanahun, along with local Nepal Police, will continue the escort up to Mugling.

Passengers will be safely escorted up to the border of Gandaki and Bagmati provinces, ensuring they reach their respective destinations. A total of 25 buses have been dispatched to Chitwan and Kathmandu.
