ITAHARI: Twenty-eight passengers were injured after a bus (Ba 2 Kha 1993) traveling from Biratnagar to Gaighat met with an accident at Haripur-Sunsari section of the East-West highway Friday afternoon. The accident happened after one of the front tires of the bus went flat, according to Sunsari District Police Office. One of the passengers, Bal Bahadur Karki, 60, of Khotang, is critical. Of the injured 10 are receiving treatment in Dharan, six at Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar, and the rest at District Hospital, Inaruwa.
Six injured in Jhapa bus accident

BHADRAPUR: Six people were injured in an accident at Ghailaduba-9 of Jhapa along East-West Highway Friday morning.
According to Jhiljhile Area Police Office, the accident took place when the speeding bus (Ko 1 Kha 1963) heading to Kakadvitta went out of control.
Nagendra Shivakoti, 55, of Arjundhara-2, Narmaya Subedi and Ambika Subedi of Mechinagar Municipality-10, Harka Gujmer, 18, and Prakash Khadka, 25, of Ilam and nine-month-old Niraj Tamang of Shanischare-3 were injured.
All the injured are being treated at Kanchanpur Hospital, Birtamod.
