Flower exhibition from Oct 26
The event is being organized to ensure the easy availability of flowers—which are extensively used for decorating homes, courtyards, and gardens, as well as for hospitality—as the major Nepali festival of Tihar approaches. It also aims to promote the commercial cultivation of chrysanthemum and support the development of new, seasonal varieties and the production of high-quality flowers.
As Nepal’s only large-scale chrysanthemum exhibition, it features a total of 86 stalls, including 78 commercial stalls, one plant clinic, four official stalls, two competitive stalls, and one photo/selfie stall.
As per the organizers, the exhibition showcases and offers for sale over 450 varieties of chrysanthemum plants—ranging from those already commercially produced in Nepal to new species introduced this year. It is expected that more than 39,000 people will visit the exhibition, with a projected commercial turnover exceeding Rs 13 million.
