KATHMANDU, July 29 : Police have arrested 23 individuals with illegal drugs from various parts of the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Central Police News Room.
Arrests were made in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Jhapa, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Saptari, Kaski, Syangja, Sunsari and Makwanpur districts.

Among them, two people were held in Gokarneshwor, Kathmandu, with a substance resembling brown heroin and two others in Jhapa’s Bhadrapur with suspected brown sugar. Two individuals were arrested each from Kanchanpur’s Belauri and Kailali’s Dhangadhi areas.
In Saptari, a man was caught with 2.25 kg of cannabis, while arrests in Lalitpur, Pokhara, Syangja, Sunsari and Makwanpur involved possession of various narcotics.
Seven individuals were arrested from Barahakshetra Municipality in Sunsari alone. Police investigations are ongoing.
