3D Commission launches roadmap for multi-sectoral and evidence-based approach to improve population health

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: The 3D Commission is organizing an Asia regional meeting on 29 September to discuss the commission’s report and its recommendations.



A panel discussion will feature Dr Kiran Regmi, professor at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Nepal, who will share her perspectives based on her experience as a former secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population in Nepal.

According to a statement issued by the organizers of the event, the Rockefeller Foundation-Boston University Commission on Health Determinants, Data, and Decision-Making (3-D Commission) released its report alongside the 76th United Nations General Assembly on September 21, 2021.


The statement also says that there will be other renowned panelists such as Dr Gabriel Leung, University of Hong Kong, Dr Sabina Rashid, BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, Bangladesh, Prof K Srinath Reddy, President, Public Health Foundation of India, and Dr Saunthari Somasundaram, National Cancer Society Malaysia.
