KATHMANDU, Nov 27: The police have arrested a young man on charges of operating online gambling (betting).
Sunil Rai, who resides in Lalitpur, was arrested by the police. A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has detained him along with initiating an investigation.

"It has been understood that a large-scale online gambling operation was conducted. We are currently in the investigation phase," said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanu Ram Bhattarai, the head of the office.
Police investigations so far have revealed that internet gambling worth Rs 550 million was being unlawfully conducted.
